Substances of Very High Concern, also known as SVHC, are derived from the EU REACH regulation. According to Article 57 of REACH, some substances that can pose serious environmental and health hazards in the process of daily use are added to a list, which is called the list of SVHC. Substances identified as SVHC need to meet one or more of the following criteria:

Manufacturers and importers in the EU are required to submit notifications, and non-EU manufacturers can submit notifications through their designated sole representative in the EU.
